Bored Wating now

We still really have nothing to report. Despite our land going to title three weeks ago, our builder still don't seem any closer to starting. We are really not sure what the hold up is, but we are becoming very frustrated!

We have sold our house and will be moving into a rental for six months at the end of June. The thought of packing and moving twice in a year is horrible, but we wanted to sell our house before the real estate bubble burst and there was no time like the present.

Hopefully by the end of next week we will have started and I will have a picture or something to post.....

Are we there yet?

We are still waiting for any type of action on our block. We received a letter from the solicitor saying that our land won't settle now until April, two whole months late. This makes a site start date of April an impossibility now. We do however have our contract appointment on Friday, they decided against us having a tender appointment, because they had fallen a little behind. So officially on Friday we will know how much it will cost for all our extras.

Whilst we aren't any closer to our new house, I have almost purchased all the new furniture. We are not taking anything with us (except for the spare beds) and are buying everything new. We are fortunate to have a double garage because it is filling up fast with all the stuff. I have also bought 40, 50 litre storage tubs from Bunnings (they were only $8.95 each) to store all the new towels, sheets and homewares. I am having a different colour scheme in the new house, so I have decided not to take any of my old knick knacks either and my sister (who is also building a new place) and I are going to have a garage sale to get rid of everything we don't want. The hardest thing is looking at all the nice new things and not being able to use them.
